Philadelphia Clubs and Bars

Downtown has a great variety of clubs and bars to keep you entertained on the weekend. Whether you are interested in a laid-back Jazz Bar, somewhere trendy, or just a disco-club, it can all be found in Philadelphia.

Listed are a few highly-rated suggestions:

If you love Paris in the springtime, Parc is a veritable grand cru. With his latest restaurant opening, famed restaurateur Stephen Starr brings a certain je ne sais quoi to Rittenhouse Square. Parc offers an authentic French bistro experience, fully equipped with a chic Parisian ambiance and gorgeous sidewalk seating overlooking the Square.

Alfa Restaurant and Lounge
Alfa is a casual restaurant and bar by day and a Rittenhouse Square hotspot by night.

The Las Vegas Lounge claims to be a cross-breed of Philadelphia and Las Vegas. A decent menu, showy atmosphere and two pool tables are what you will find at this one-of-a kind bar.

Ortlieb's Jazzhaus is a tiny, smokey, wonderful, place to hear great jazz. The house band is amazing. Different artists on different nights of the week. See Ortlieb's web site for details.

If you are a beer connoisseur, then be sure to go to Monk's Cafe and Belgian Beer Emporium! At Monk's you can enjoy imported beers like Chimay while sampling muscles or a portobello burger with boursin and sprouts. Tasty food, great atmosphere and even better beer for a reasonable price.

If blowing off steam by playing video-games aimed at adults sounds like fun to you, then Dave and Buster's on Pier 19, Delaware Avenue is a good bet for you. A full menu, bar and pool tables complete the scene. Adults only at night!

Another great way to spend a Saturday night is by strolling down South Street. There are a variety of stores, bars and restaurants to suit different moods. To see what's happening try: www.southstreet.com
